Recently I picked up on playing around with pragmatic approaches to model watersheds. I've noticed this term becoming more popular lately: http://www.ecoinformatics.org/ Also I've noticed http://google.org is already modeling deforestation with Google Earth Engine - in a crude way. I suspect they'll be the party that moves towards large scale simulation of inter-related phenomena. a   See More
